  • On autistic children, angels, and other multidimensional beings and the thresholds they help us cross.

”…Being an autism mom is an act of service and devotion that pulls you into the sacred — to shed what is no longer of you or for you. When the mythic speaks of Inanna, the Sumerian Goddess of love and war who shed her crown and garments to descend into the underworld for her sister, I know what it speaks of. When beloved author Paulo Coelho speaks of walking on your knees in pilgrimage, I know what he means. Autism parents walk on their knees every day toward the threshold where the strange knocks.”

  • In my day job commenting on global issues like the 2022 Iranian protests over women’s rights, I pushed through the noise of all the opinions of “women’s rights” and intuitively felt called to speak to women’s rites and the ritual of cord-cutting. The practice of cord-cutting is as old as human spirituality and it speaks to severing an energetic tether that binds us in some way. I compared the global protest of women cutting their hair to the sacred women’s rite of cord-cutting, of severing what no longer belonged to us.

The opposite needs to happen here. More and more we’re culturally being pushed and exploited into giving up on connection to our children.

  • No child or youth is to be subject to perversion of childhood that destroys the inherent dignity of a child. A child’s curiosity and wonder for the world is to be protected against all psychologically and physically violent environments that crush an innate desire to explore the world free from influence. Any manipulation that distorts the child’s independent perspective of reality until they have reached biological maturity may be viewed as an abomination of the natural order and a threat to mankind.
